Is it possible, when a planet is invaded, that a % of empires treasure is lost with it? Depending on planets value to empire? This is like resource capture on DQ:E.

However, to add an extra danger, capturing empires home planet, results in 50% of the treasure being captured. This makes home planet a target, and something players need to defend.

I think this makes war more dangerous, and also, provides a weakness that can be exploited. Players will have to have fleets at home system, and best defences

EDIT: I think only one problem, if player has only 1 planet (home system) then all money should be at that planet. Not 50%...

So, if calcualtion, 50% + planets normal value is stored at home planet, remaining money is shared across all other planets (depending on value).

If player has 1 planet, then obviously this means all money is at that planet.

If player has 2 planets that are identical in value. Then 50% is at home planet. The other 50% is shared across 2 planets, thats 25% each.

So, that results in 75% in home planet. 25% in other

I think we must protect emprires with <10 colonized planets from any invasion or borbardements (and <1000 turn old only).

I think thats too high, as it would mean almost no battles before turn 1000.

Maybe, a better limit is any empires under 500 turns old, can not have their home planet captured. Any other colonies are free to take, but home is protected.

This way, players can build a home plenet safely, and not have to worry about defences for a while. Also, some resources and techs for starting late should help also.

Also, I think to speed up start of game even more (this is nessasary) that home planet should have 10 population (or max population if it is less than 10) already, and should have factory and farms (the free techs) already built. This means player is able to start doing things much quicker from the start.

1. When invading a planet besides the colony itself an unresearched technology could be captured. Maybe some treasure will be captured too. I don't know yet We'll come back to this later before implementation.

2. Starting empires protection and later start bonuses is planned, but still in discussion. An empire will be protected for a period of time. How long we'll see this round. How fast empires develop. Bonuses will be in production points so a player could build very fast on his main colony. Maybe (if it wouldn't require a lot of changes) we will make some base techs to new empire (i.e. already researched).

I don't agree that empires with less then 10 colonies should be protected. War should start as fast as possible. This is a war game, nevertheless.

Speeding up the start of the game is another balance issue. It should be thought together with empire protection and late start bonuses. Faster you develop in the beginning more bonuses should be given to late empires.
